GABRIEL TURZO is a Democrat running for New York State Assembly in the 74th District.

Gabe has long been committed to making New York a better place to live and work. In 2017 he joined the Eleanor Roosevent Independent Democrats where he worked to elect strong local Democratic Leadership. His dedication and results oriented approach led to his election as Treasurer - an office he’s been re-elected to four times.

In 2021 Gabe was appointed to Manhattan Community Board 6 and has served in several leadership roles including Board Treasurer and Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee. He is currently serving as Chair of the Land Use and Waterfront Committee. At CB6 Gabe has championed growth in affordable housing and changes to housing rules that make it easier to build. He has led waterfront storm resiliance planning to help protect citizens and their homes. Gabe led projects to redesign community loading zones and create goods transport alternatives to ease curbside congestion in the Distict and beyond. As a current member and former Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee Gabe has been outspoken about additional dedicated buslanes to speed commutes, and worked to change a bus route for pedestrian and vehicular safety. Gabe also worked to ensure that privately operated public spaces live up to their obligation to you.

Now Gabe wants to represent you in Albany and continue his work, particularly in the areas of Housing, Transportation, and Public Spaces .
